Frequently asked questions

How long will it take for my order to be ready?
We aim to have all orders processed and delivered within 5 working days from receiving your completed order form and payment. However, dates must be planned in advance, so customers are aware of delivery dates when completing order forms.

How does the meat stay cold and fresh until we can get it into the fridge?                                                                                     meatright products will be delivered chilled and fresh, packed into insulated boxes with ice packs for your convenience. meatright recommends that you keep your products refrigerated at 5 degrees Celsius or less. Great care is taken to ensure your products are delivered to you in compliance with the Health and Safety standards of South Australia.

What is in it for me?
meatright offers an extensive product range with bargain prices. The meat is of consistently high quality, freshness, a sensational flavour and tenderness every time. Have the peace of mind that fundraising is being taken care of only by changing the way you purchase meat and that every kilo of meat purchased $$$ are being raised for your cause.

I am concerned about ordering product during the summer months and keeping it at a cold temperature until everyone collects their orders.
The best possible method to keep products cool is inside a room. Our iced cooler packs are designed to help products stay cold until they are picked up at the pre-arranged ‘pick up’ time. You will receive your orders between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius, in compliance with SA Health and Safety standards. The responsibility is up to the purchaser to collect and take home their meat.

What if people do not collect their product from the collection point?
Have the peace of mind, as the meatright system is pre pay, people are likely to remember to collect their purchases. Part of
meatright’s service is to automatically SMS customers’ mobiles to remind them to collect their meat. The responsibility is up to the purchaser to collect and take home their meat.

What makes meatright such a successful fundraiser?
A number of reasons:

1. It’s a simple process for all people involved. The organiser just needs to set up the campaign and monitor the progress of the group. Usually, with other fundraising products, the organiser does most of the work. The fundraisers help change the way in which their members shop for their meat and place an order with pre-payment by the due date.

2. People just love to enjoy tasty meat!  Once they eat our meat, they will be assured of product high in quality that taste great -  all at bargain prices.

3. meatright’s time saving systems have been created for you. meatright has a dedicated area for your organisation - no other organisations will have access. You will be able to generate reports   for your own use and easily run your fundraising campaign.

4. meatright provide the ease and convenience of online purchasing including online download forms and marketing tools and tips for your fundraising campaign – contact us via email, phone or fax and we can help assist you with the ordering procedure.

5. All your purchasing history will be retrievable and time saving as each customer’s details will be recorded reducing the time needed to re-enter when ordering weekly, fortnightly, monthly or from time to time.

What if I can’t pay for my order up front?
We recommend that each fundraising organisation collects the money from their customers when the order is placed by their customers –  but this is entirely at the discretion of the fundraiser. This will ensure that there is no unnecessary time spent chasing up unpaid orders. meatright must be paid in full for your order to be processed and delivered. Payment can be made by cheque (providing cheque application apporoved) or by direct deposit into meatright’s account (details found in members’ profile page).

Can I return my products if I change my mind?
No, the product is delivered fresh and within the Health & Safety standards, for this reason we are unable to take back the product if you have changed your mind.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of meat I can order?
Minimum order is for 3kgs of product per customer, with a minimum of 10 orders placed per fundraising campaign/delivery date. If you have more than 15 orders there is no set minimum kilo per customer. If you order 3kg or less your order will be individually packed but delivered in a cooler pack along with other small orders. Remember every kilo purchased raises $$$ for your fundraising cause.

Can I order more frequently than once per year/season/month?
Yes. meatright will be delighted to have you on board as a frequent purchaser. That way you will achieve your financial goals quicker!

What if I only want to order a small amount – say only 3 kgs of product?
meatright will be only too happy to accommodate. We will be packaging the smaller orders inside one cooler box. All you will need to do is take out the individually named order bags to take home. It will be best to bring your own esky in which to transfer the meat into for the trip home.

Is there a handling or delivery fee?
No, if you are within the metropolitan area and receiving your order during normal business hours then you will not be charged a delivery fee. However, due to logistics, a delivery fee will be applied to areas outside the metropolitan area or after normal business hours within metropolitan area. Depending on available distribution to your area, we will advise the costs in your situation. Your organisation may choose to absorb the cost or you can choose to charge your customers. If you wish to pass a small charge onto your customers, there is provision on the order form to do so easily. Once you have registered as a new member with meatright we will contact you to arrange suitable delivery day, time and costs. Or, if you have a transport company you already use, we are happy to deliver to the depot if within metropolitan area and you can handle it from there.

Can you supply other meat products that are currently not in your range?
We are delighted to hear from you regarding alternative products that we can stock for you, please send us an email to help@meatright.com.au
